Manic Depression
Ashley Scheiderer

I'm looking at the world through stained glass windows.
I see rose-colored skies, Jesus, lollipops, and rainbows.
My eyes are blind, though, this I don't see
Because these colors have a hold on me.

I'm looking at the world through bars.
I see the truth coming in everyday wars.
And though the world goes on, and I can see
I am not a part of this world,
And it's not a part of me.
