is an MFA candidate in fiction at Columbia Tom Sheehan, "Boy with The Golden Ring", "Aces & Eights", "Now I Face You": Tom currently has work (on/coming/archived) on Electric Acorn, 3amMagazine, New Works Review, Eastoftheweb, The Paumanok Review, Eclectica, Aileron, Kota Review, Stirring, Samsara, Three Candles, 2River View, Comrades, InterText, etc. His poetry books include "Ah, Devon Unbowed," "The Saugus Book," and "Reflections from Vinegar Hill." He is a Co-editor of the sold out 2000-copy issue of "A Gathering of Memories, Saugus 1900 - 2000," a nostalgic look at his hometown in the last century. His committee borrowed 60K to get the book printed (452 pages, 508 pictures, cartoons & illustrations) and paid off the loan four weeks after receipt of books from the printer. It has been hailed as "a masterpiece, an epic and must-reading even for our carpetbaggers." (Now in a second printing). He has nine novels captured in his computer, six of them mysteries, one of them being serialized on 3amMagazine.com, one in print production with a Maryland publisher, the balance waiting to be freed by a publisher. He has been retired for ten years and recently met with four comrades from the Korean War he has not seen since 1951. He continues to celebrate his comrades in poetry, keeps looking to find two words together he never found together before, and is a partner in Newwriters.com, looking for space in the publishing world for new writers. Tom writes every day about the things that interest him, that move him. Anathea Carrick, "2AM Dream, #27": Anathea is another mid-twenties lost soul, living in the Arizona desert. She divides her time between a purple house in Columbus and the Dominican Republic. Joseph M. Faria, "Can Cows Be Afraid": Joseph was born on the island of Sao Miguel, in the Azores. He was brought to the United States when he was nine months old, by his mother, in 1950. He studied Creative Writing at Roger Williams University. He published his first poem when he was twenty-three: "The Black Crow Symphony: 4th Movement", Ishmael, Spring 1973. His short story "Threshold" won 2nd Prize in the 1997 CWA National Writing Competition. His first book of short stories, "FROM A DISTANCE", was published in the Azores in June 1998 by Nova Grafica Press.
