One Story: One Story is a literary magazine that contains, simply, one story. Each issue is artfully designed, lightweight, easy to carry, and ready to entertain on buses, in bed, in subways, in cars, in the park, in the bath, in the waiting rooms of doctors, on the couch in the afternoon or on line at the supermarket.
Pen America: A thought-provoking, lovingly edited mix of nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and drama by your favorite (or soon-to-be-favorite) writers from the U.S. and around the world.
Paragraph: is a membership organization dedicated to providing an affordable and tranquil working environment for writers of all genres. Paragraph was created by writers for writers, with an understanding that writers work best in a quiet, comfortable space away from the hurry and obligation of urban life.
Swink: Swink is a bi-coastal, biannual print magazine dedicated to identifying and promoting literary talent in both established and emerging writers. Swink publishes fiction, non-fiction, poetry and interviews, and sponsors frequent readings and events in New York City and Los Angeles.

storySouth: storySouth's most important mission is to showcase the best fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry that writers from the new south have to offer. Special emphasis is given to finding and promoting the works of promising new writers.
Wave Poetry: Wave Books is an independent poetry press based in Seattle, Washington. Dedicated to publishing the best in American poetry by new and established authors, Wave Books was founded in 2005, joining forces with already-established publisher Verse Press.

Ripe Magazine: is a non-profit organization that publishes BC-based photography and creative non-fiction on a quarterly basis. Each issue features theme-based content selected by a panel of art, advertising and design professionals and is available in print and online.
PulpBits: Pulpbits is an uncensored electronic bookshop and self-publishing venue selling highly-screened literature from contemporary authors.
Underground Window: Underground Window is a bi-monthly ezine started at the end of 2003 that accepts poetry of all genres, but especially enjoys publishing poems by new poets. Submissions are always welcome. They also feature a column by one of our editors, Leslie McGehee, titled "I Can't Think of Anything".

Konundrum Engline Literary Review: is an online journal based in New York, NY. "All we really want to do is make you happy. We like stories and words, and hope that's why you're here, because if you want a soda and a fried grouper sandwich, we don't do that, although some of us are really proficient chefs, and would love to cook you a nice meal, if we like you. We publish a lot of things. We exist to rock the joint."
Melange: Melange, as the word itself denotes, is a collection of things of different kinds, brought to you by a diverse group of individuals riding the often turbulent waves of the "�university of life"! Digital Fiction: Atmospheric and interactive narratives and dream journals.
The Means: The Means is a biannual print journal. They publish everything from fiction to interviews to essays to humorous feature pieces and beyond. Their interest is in challenging the conventions of the medium and delivering offbeat writing that makes one think or laugh or both at the same time. They also have a blog and a podcast that are updated weekly with items both intellectual and humorous.
Cervena Barva Press: The press publishes chapbooks and books of fiction, poetry and plays from writers all over the world. Also yearly poetry postcards fusing art with poetry. Cervena Barva Press has recently published, in a postcard series, Gary Fincke, Eric Pankey, Dzvinia Orlowsky, David Ray, Rane Arroyo, Michael Burkard and others. A chapbook, Fishing in Green Waters, by poet Judy Ray, was published this month. Forthcoming are books by Flavia Cosma, playwright Michael Nash, Ian Randall Wilson and others. In April, we celebrate the one year anniversary of the press.
The Poetry Foundation: The Poetry Foundation, publisher of Poetry magazine, is committed to a vigorous presence for poetry in our culture. The Stinging Fly: The Stinging Fly is based in Dublin, Ireland, and has worked since 1998 to promote new writers and new writing. The magazine publishes fiction, poetry, author interviews, book reviews and essays, with contributors coming from all over the planet. In 2005 the Fly went a bit nuts, and launched its own book imprint for new Irish literary fiction.

Mid-American Review: Perhaps one of my personal favorite print literary publications, the Mid-American Review is an international literary journal dedicated to publishing the best contemporary fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and translations. Founded in 1981, MAR is an official publication of the Department of English and the Creative Writing Program at Bowling Green State University.
Sewanee Review: Brought to you by the University of the South, Sewanee is among the long list of preferred and esteemed literary publications.

Identity Theory: Launched in August 2000, the slick zine is a host to up and coming talent as well as established writers. Praised by the Chicago Tribune, the site has gained web fame since inception.
Eleven Bulls: Eleven Bulls is an organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists and writers. They publish a monthly online magazine, produce readings and art exhibitions, and are working on a print edition.
Nimrod: at the University of Tulsa is one of the top print publications in the country. Nimrod, founded in 1956 at The University of Tulsa, has been active in the discovery and publication of new writers for more than 40 years, and has had increasing impact on the development of the careers of new writers for more than 22 years through the Nimrod/Hardman Awards.
